We’re thrilled to announce the formation of BTS Records and our newest signee, S.Maharba. 2012 is scheduled with many exciting releases from BTS, the first of which being a limited edition 12’’ from S.Maharba later this month.
Highlighting a track from his independently released, self-titled LP from 2008, this 12’’ includes a vinyl only, extended version of the song “French Maid” with a devastating remix from The Clonious on the flip. Our French Maid 12’’ will be limited to 300 hand-numbered copies and pressed on lush translucent vinyl. Responsible for two of the genre’s most essential and beloved albums with Black Moon’s Enta Da Stage (‘93) and Smif-N-Wessun’s Dah Shinin (‘95). Classic tracks like, “Bucktown”, “Who Got Da Props?” and “I Got Cha Open” have not only defined their work, but helped define an era of hip-hop and the New York sound from the ‘90s.
